No I’m not part of some online vigilante group and we don’t go around on Second Life righting that world’s wrongs!
Back in February we embarked on a project to bring social media to NDCS. With the help of some digital marketeers ( justmeans and Dharmafly ) we decided to look at Google groups & calendars, Facebook, Myspace and Blogging. (hence this blog!)
Within the organisation people were hand picked to be guinea pigs as part of the project, all willing I might add! As part of the project we even got capes and masks and a logo drawn up (see below).

Obviously this can be seen as a bit airy fairy from a senior management point of view so there were aims drawn up and agreed within the group. A three month plan was agreed by our ED’s. This included:
Month one – Gather and educate committee
Month Two – Implementation by Digital Avengers
Month Three – Follow up and documentation
The main aim of this was to dip our toe in the water, look at some short term projects, see what works and what did not and then use this to base our plans for the next 12 months.
Over the next couple of weeks my blogs will look some of the success stories and those that did not quite make the mark…
